I had this set on my Jeep before but something failed on them but I wanted to give them another try so I bought another set and just looked at a video on the installation and it only took me 30 minutes to install them then I tested them and so far so good but just like last time in case something happens I’m keeping the factory prop rod on my Jeep so I have a backup. Thank you they look like they should’ve came from the factory installed.

Easy install and they look great. When you put the metal backing in the slot for the hood bracket run the screw all the way out. Better instructions please.

Store owner replied: that ultra-smooth ASMR sound of the hood opening. sheeeesh
The struts are really slow at opening. Helping the hood open will eventually damage the strut. Instructions arent very clear as to what direction they are supposed to face.

After reviewing your installation, we noticed that the struts were installed upside down—the fluid side is currently facing the wrong way. We recommend installing them with the shock (cylinder) side up near the hood and the rod (pole) side down toward the engine bay. This orientation allows the internal fluid to flow properly and ensures optimal performance. Our beefy hydraulic struts are designed to open the hood in about 3 seconds. Charging them with more gas to speed this up can cause a strong recoil effect, which risks damaging the struts by forcing them open too quickly. This is a well-tested, mature product, and proper installation should resolve the issue. Please try this adjustment, and if you still experience problems, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help. Best regards, Miles
